Today is Sunday. Which means tomorrow is Monday. I’m sad to say that since I started my job I have become one of those Monday people. I dread them. I just want to skip to Tuesday. I’m a Garfield comic waiting to happen.
Monday comes from the Old English word “monedæi” which means “moon’s day.” I’m willing to bet I know what Sunday stands for. In Islam and Judaism, Mondays are considered favorable days for fasting. The early Christians wanted to do the fasting thing too, but they didn’t want to look all Jewy by doing it on Mondays. So, using their top notch problem solving skills, they told everybody to fast on Wednesday.
True story.
But tomorrow I will wake up early, wipe my eyes of all crispies that developed throughout the night and find cat pictures so I can get paid and buy stuff. Such is life.
