Today’s tutorial request comes from jjrecto. She takes these really cool macro shots of miniatures and she wanted to know how to put a realistic new background in her photos. This is called compositing. Composite images are one of the most common things I do. Cutting out one element from one picture and then placing and blending that element into another. There are probably a hundred ways of doing this. And a hundred opinions on what works best. I show you my preferred techniques in this video and guarantee that with a little practice, you can get clean cutouts of just about anything.

Google and YouTube have teamed up to launch Google Search Stories. Much like the famous Superbowl ad, you can now create your own tale of search results. The above is my first attempt. I call it, “Making a mistake.”

“Thanks. I spent all weekend making it. It really blended in well with those bushes. I’m glad we got this pervert off the streets.”

“Aww…I’m sorry man. I just got this car. It’s got leather interior and I’d hate to get grass stains on it and whatnot. Again, really sorry. Hey, you could always just take the subway.”

I’ve searched the internet for all kinds of pornography. Midget porn. Really tall people porn. A really tall person with a midget. Shark porn. I’ve seen it all. That is except…Muffin porn. So I went ahead and made some. It’s only softcore porn due to budget restrictions. But I think it is a good start.

I was putting up Christmas lights in my room. Listening to some rad Christmas tunes and…well…you’ll see. The horror.

Someone posted a gif of stars going by and I was bored so I made a video of my little rubber chicken going through space. Probably the most pointless thing I’ve done to date.

Meet thefrogman! This is my first attempt at editing a video so be gentle. I plan to improve audio and video quality in the future…and I’ll probably try to be funnier too.
