Reblog for the great GIF rebellion of 2010
The tumblr FAQ states that an animated GIF must meet the following requirements. It must be 512k in file size, and no more than 500 pixels wide. I am here to say, “THIS IS NOT ENOUGH TO POST COOL GIFS!” Every time I find an awesome GIF, I feel like I am playing GIF roulette with the tumblr photo post. “Will this be the time it lets my super awesome GIF not be frozen in time?”

It’s time we spoke out as a community about this great injustice. It’s time we demanded more reasonable restrictions on GIF file sizes. We can upload 10mb photos, but only 512k GIFs? Come on tumblr. Let us have our GIFs.
