Today is kind of an unusual day in the froghousehold. Today is my Dad’s birthday. But today is also the day that he has his pacemaker replaced. It’s not as bad as it sounds. They just have to swap it out every once in a while to make sure the batteries don’t die. It’s an outpatient procedure and hopefully it will be nothing more than a nap for my dad. But it kind of sucks that he has to have this done on his birthday of all days. If you all would indulge me I would like to tell you all a little bit about my dad.
My dad is the greatest dad there ever was. Now I realize a few of you might be saying, “Hey! My dad is pretty cool!” Well, compared to my dad…your dad sucks. I’m just kidding. But my dad is the best to me. I really lucked out in the parent department. My dad has worked hard all of his life to support his family. When I got sick, he didn’t hesitate to help take care of me. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him. He is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He tells the most awesome jokes* and I love him dearly. Happy birthday Dad. I hope they fix up your ticker with no problems.
*His jokes are awful, but they are so bad they end up being funny.
