Pretentious - adj - making claim to distinction or importance, esp undeservedly
The overwhelming majority of the feedback I have gotten has been very positive. Almost everybody loves Otis and is quite happy that I have him in my life. Right now, I probably have a thousand messages to that effect.
I’m in a transitional period. I have other responsibilities that take precedence and require more of my time. That will not always be the case and most rational people understand that. I’m posting the best content I have available. Sometimes that is a funny picture of Otis, sometimes that is a snarky comeback to those who veil themselves in anonymity.
Perhaps you might also keep in mind that I am investing most of the money I’ve made back into this blog. Buying photo, video, lighting, and sound equipment. I will be designing a set and creating a studio down here in the basement. I have been educating myself on video editing and photography. I really hope to take everything to another level. But none of this can happen overnight. I need time to arrange ducks in rows.
But you sense a decrease in lulz. After 4 weeks you’ve decided that I’ve gone off the rails and all the funny that resides in my brain has disappeared. You even wish me bad fortune because I am not entertaining you to your expectations. And to top it all off, you just assumed the opinion of thousands of people is the same as yours.
That seems a little pretentious to me.
