A Ducky Duck
By Froggie Von Froggerson

I met a duck, he was a duck
He did lots of ducky stuff
He ducked around and ducked it up
But was he duck enough?

Sure he could quack, sure he could waddle
But do those things a duck make?
He had a bill, he had webbed feet
But so does a platypus, for goodness sake

So this duck, who was a duck
Prepared for a duckly quest.
He packed his things, in a case
He fluffed the feathers upon his chest

How does this duck, who is a duck
Prove that he is duck enough
He must woo a duck, a lady duck
But how, he knows nothing of this wooing stuff

He shines his bill
And coifs his ploom
He has a date
Will it end in doom?

Will she be ugly?
Will she be fat?
This duck is vain
He will have none of that

The time has come, she is revealed
She is a fine looking lady duck
This duck that is a duck plots his moves
To scheme his way to give this duck a pluck

And by pluck I mean duck and by duck I mean…well…you know

They sit by the candlelight
Eating the finest crumbs of bread
All the while he wonders how
How to get this lady duck into his little duck bed

But alas she would have none of that
She was a moral lady duck through and through
She told this duck who was a duck
I’d duck a platypus before I ever ducked you
